A little more than a year after an unlicensed massage therapist working at May Spa in Bend was arrested and charged with the sexual assault of a client, two more women have come forward.
Now, the woman who first reported Jianming Tang for allegedly assaulting her during a massage in July 2023 is speaking out.

"The whole reason why I came forward and reported this is because I could tell this was not his first time doing it. There were ways in that he was working where he was trying to being subtle in some ways," she said, wishing to remain anonymous. "He sexually assaulted me during a massage. After the massage, I worked with the police to wear a wire and he apologized to me."
Tang was arrested after that reported assault, posted bail, and was released.
Now, two more accusers have been identified. According to court documents, those two also claim they were assaulted by Tang within 11 days after his release.
"What's really disheartening is that these two victims were sexually assaulted within 11 days of him being released from jail. It's really difficult for a sexual assault victim to go into the police department, and not just try to cover it up and pretend it didn't happen," the woman said.
She said she spoke to one of the others who came forward, who told her she, too, is part of the May Spa case. According to court documents, She reported her alleged assault five days after Tang was released.
When Central Oregon Daily first reported this story in September 2023, we went to May Spa asking if Tang was still employed at the massage parlor. The owner said he wasn't there.
Central Oregon Daily went back to the massage parlor on Monday. The business declined to speak.
Deschutes County District Attorney Steve Gunnels he could not comment on the specific case other than to say Tang was released because security was set and he posted bail.
A court arraignment for Tang is scheduled on Thursday, at 8:30 a.m.
