I'll be moving back home at the end of the month with my 6 year old pit/hound mix. For the most part Nikki is not aggressive, but does not like impolite dogs. A quick bark (no teeth), usually sends the message clearly to the other dog that she does not like what they are doing. If they continue she walks away or ignores them.
My mom has two cocker spaniel/poodle mixes that are 15 years old each and 1 pomeranian who is 6 years old too.
I've never introduced a dog into a new household already filled with dogs, and I want to make sure that I don't cause any problems or relay my own anxieties on them.
Once I get there, I will make sure to give Nikki a LONG walk to ware her ass out, so she'll have less energy.
But besides that, what are some tips and ideas on how to make this process less stressful for everyone involved, especially the older dogs.
Thanks!!
