massageplanet.net Grand Slam
In keeping with the British Open this weekend, I completed stage three of the massageplanet.net Grand Slam yesterday. Now, everyone has their own opinion of their favourite stop on the Tour, and I am no different. A favourite of mine has been the British Open, as I can definitely see the ALLURE of this course. Its been around a long time, is well respected, you can't go wrong with any of the stops for the Open, and will definitely melt your heart into ASHes.
I've also won the PGA championship many times. Its always a MISSTery to me why people rag on this part of the Grand Slam. Sure, not every stop for this championship is a winner, sometimes its at the wrong time of the year, however, all in all, its usually an exciting tournament with an exciting Finish.
Yesterday, I won the US Open. Great course once again, its like HEAVEN, let me tell you. Same course as an old PGA championship site. My tee of was a little late, but that's okay because I was able to sit in the clubhouse and admire the beauty of the course. When my playing partner did arrive (1/2 late at this point) I was more than happy and definitely wished I had a CAMERa ON me to record this special occasion, as it was my first time playing the US Open. Even the the tee of time was late, we weren't rushed off the course because we were the last tee of of the day. That is always a bonus and was really appreciated. My playing partner really did well on the front nine, and was able to drain many backdoor putts. I was able to help my partner out on the back nine with some of my strokes and good ball location. But the finish of the day belonged to my Russian playing partner as she left everyone in the gallery gasping and applauding.
My last quest is still the Masters. Everyone has their favourite hole at Augusta, and will regal you with stories of the Amber sunsets in Georgia and write Paige upon Paige of literature how they like the fact that it is only male membership here, leaving female membership, but not attendates, absolutely INVISIBLE. Definitely a TOUCH of class at this place. But I definitely have to experience the Masters tournament before I retire.
What is my favourite? My experience at the US Open was great, but I still think the British Open is my favourite. But I do want to enter the PGA championship again, and as I said, there is still the Masters.
