MT with PT

So I just got my license and I am planning on working out of the physical therapy office that i am currently doing receptionist work in. Since I am fresh I was just wondering if anyone had any business advice for me. My bosses are behind me 100% and can't wait to get going but I'm a little worried about how it will all work out. Almost all their patients are covered by health insurance, but will their insurance cover massage therapy or will they be willing to cover the cost themselves? Should I arrange to be payed a perceneforum.xxxe of every massage or rent a space? Basically I would like anyones opinions or advice based on their experiences. Anything would help, so share the love! lol Thanks

Have your employers given you any idea how they think it would work? I'm not sure where you are (or how much difference that might make) but I worked 2 years in a PT clinic but my experience may be much different than what you're heading into. Basically I was hired as a MT/exercise tech. I was just an employee and patients came in to do their PT, then some got heat/stim/ice, etc and/or massage. We did 15 min units (one per patient at a time) and the clinic billed their insurance. So it wasn't really like a massage practice as such. I was also fresh out of school and I learned a LOT & did get my hands on a lot of bodies (well, parts of them ) I always thought 15 minutes wasn't enough to do much good but many many people said the massage helped.

Is massage already being utilized there?
