Okay you probably will get alot of the keep breast feeding answers but as good as brest milk maybe for your baby formula is great to. Honestly not all babies tolerate the same formula, my son couldn't eat anything but good start and i loved it, i always talked about how it was the best formula and all sorts of things, but then my daughter would projectile vomit it all. I was so confused because i swore on my life this formula was the best formula and i wouldn't think of feeding my babies anything but. So we switched her to similic and the same thing, then we went to enfilmil same thing then we went to heinz, then we tried ( on the advice of our dr ) some lactose free formula she still spit it up ( she even projectiles when i did brest feed her) it was like she couldn't eat anything, the dr then gave me a prescription for a formula then cost 70 dollars per jar of the powder ya not fun, however she also projectiles vomited that. i was going crazy because of this when my fiance suggested feeding her the parents choice formula, i argued with him because i said i wouldn't feed my child no name formula. well he bought it any ways and we were trying it end of story....well guess since we have started her on it she has not vomited once she doesn't even spit up, she loves it. at least she wont be high matenice. So honestly all you can do is try, try the good start, with my son i was told you can mix formula with brest milk but Double check that cause i have always heard you can, just give a bottle in the middle of the day and start gradually moving up from one bottle of formula to how ever many. Good luck.
