Need ideas for a name for my business

Creativity is NOT my strong point so I'm looking for ideas for a business name. I really don't want anything froo-froo or ambiguous. I'd like the name to indicate that I do more therapeutic massage if possible and maybe relate that I'm in the Westchase area (a very desirable neighborhood.)

Any thoughts??

I am not very original myself...

Westchase Therapeutic Massage or
Westchase Wellness Center( I am not sure what modalities you will offer)
are the no-brainers :grin:

If you go that route it is easier for people to find you if they are searching online.

Otherwise start listing words that you like or that are descriptive of your work.
See if anything jumps out at you.

If you move, any name with "Westchase" in it will become awkward. How about a contraction of your name, like this:

Ang Therapeutic Massage
of Westchase

If you move, you can keep the name and just update the location. Also, "of Westchase" implies that there may be other locations (and maybe there will be, someday).

Also, it is simple but not so casual as "Angie's Therapeutic Massage", which might not sell so well in an upscale area.

Anyway, just a few thoughts for you.

I need to make a final decision on a business name. So far the finalists are:

A Therapeutic Massage of Westchase
A Therapeutic Massage Center of Westchase
Advanced Therapeutic Massage (with or without Westchase)
Center for Therapeutic Massage (ditto)
Balanced Body Therapeutic Massage
Body Essentials Therapeutic Massage
Bodywork Therapeutic Massage (ditto.)

Any thoughts or opinions?

Westchase Center for Therapeutic Massage sounds very professional.

But I kinda like Balanced Body too.

Try this trick -
say each one out loud as if you were answering the phone at your business.
See how you feel with each one.

We decided to go with Advanced Therapeutic Massage of Westchase.

I'm sure I won't say the entire name when answering the phone but this will be the official name on advertising. I like that the Advanced part stresses that I have many, many years of experience and by beginning with the letter "A" I'll be towards the top of any alphabetical list.

I did check to make sure it wasn't taken but I didn't think about the domain. I'm not even sure how to do that?

Angie, you can go to any domain name registrar (we use http://www.karthost.com) and enter your chosen domain name (s). It'll tell you whether it's available or not.

westchaseadvancedmassage.com IS available, as of a minute ago. so is advancedmassagewestchase.com. so is westchasetherapeuticmassage. I wouldn't try anything like advancedtherapeuticmassageofwestchase.com, or westchaseadvancedtehrapeuticmassage.com, just because they're so very long. Have fun with it, and good luck!

Oh, I'd also caution you to look up close alternatives too. Not only whether they're available or not, but also if they're already in use, WHAT they're being used for. We almost registers to "hold" (or "park") a certain domain name we thought we might use later on. When I checked it again, it had been taken. I went to both of the variations we'd been thinking of using, and while the one we'd been wanting to take was "okay", the "closely related" one was definitely NOT something we'd want prospective clients to stumble upon accidentally, and think we were associated with them! So I was glad we hadn't gotten that other name.
