I don't know what to do. I'm interested in designing formal wear only. But the more I research into this, the more i feel like I am not compatible for it all. You have to design different types: sports wear etc. ANother problem is that I do not know how to design men wear. I never had the talent to even draw men on paper. I only can draw women figures.
I don't know exactly. But this website is proclaiming that most people in the college classes will not find jobs as a designer, and that is just making me feel less confident in myself.
What if I'm not a good designer? What if I make lame styles that nobody will want?
I can't draw all pro like most designers, and I feel like I have no creativity because I look into magazines for help (I don't copy the entire style though) Idk
When I was little I use to draw little drawings of clothes and I use to spend hours on barbie.com and myscene.com etc. dressing up the virtual dolls on there. Plus I mix and match the doll clothes I had. I tried making clothes but they never work.
Plus another thing is that I don't know how to sew. I refused when I was little, but now that I am serious about this, I can't sew. I mean obviously I should learn. But I'm probably going to this community college soon for running start classes, and it's an art college. The other fashion designers are going to have more experience than me, even if I did learn.
Idk, what are things I SHOULD expect? I still want to focus on formal wear. Helllp???
