newbie question about spring training?

I am going to see the braves/yankees game in orlando on 3/30 and this is my first time ever going to spring training. just wondering what to expect...do the players sign autographs before/after, is it much more informal then regular games, how much time to allow, etc.

Show up early, but I warn you, Champion Stadium in Orlando is one of the hardest stadiums to get autographs at. Even harder is George Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, the ushers won't even let you down, unless you've got a ticket for that section!!

show up about an hour to 45 minutes before the game while the teams are taking batting practice, and you'll find a lot of guys just standing around. Most everyone is real accessible during that time, and 90% of them have no problem signing balls, cards, taking pictures etc... Several will sign after the games as well, but some guys do leave a little quickly. The atmosphere is a lot looser, and if you're lucky enough to get a seat close to the on-deck circle, you'll be able to talk to everyone who comes up. Just don't be pushy, and don't forget a good pen. You're gonna have a great time...Have fun
