...and ask her interest? why can't it be the other way around sometimes? I'm a single guy ofcourse, and for this very reason. I'm 20 years old and I'm still shy to go up to girls and talk to them. How can I get over this so that I can find that special someone? However,I do wish that girls would come up to me and talk to me. I think that I'm a handsome guy and I've been told by females that I am. why is it that im still single if im handsome? And I know I have a great personality.

There is little in life that is 'always' true and that applies to your post. MANY women approach men these days. The last guy I went out with, is one I initiated contact with and I chose the location for most of our get-togethers (he's moving away soon, so nothing serious developed).

So, while plenty of women do still prefer the guy to make the first move (who likes to risk rejection?), there are also lots of women these days who do it. Why sit around and wait to be noticed? Everyone should take that chance and go for what they want.

Some girls just walk up and talk to guys. I do, at least. And don't be shy! Just be nice and friendly. There's no promise of a date or anything, but talking to girls is a good way to branch out, meet new people, and get a few phone numbers. Good luck! : )
