I think it more than "appears" to be closed from what you say you saw.

And if it is merely a "guess" on your part that it has bitten the dust, then there must be an element of uncertainty or chance worthy of a wager: what odds are you offering on whether or not it is still there? I'll take the side that says it is not there any more, whether I get the long or short side of the bet!
