Plantar Fasciitis help, heel spur

Any tips from all therapies. I'm treating with reflexology and acupressure, but if anyone else has come accross this condition and treated with success, i'd be pleased to hear from you. He's had osteopathy, ultrasound etc. I've asked him to get an xray via GP to check no other damage. He is going on a walking holiday and wants a 'cure' by then!!!

Idid point out the impossibility of guaranteeing that. He's really nice though and would like to help urgently.

I have treated a client with this with reflexology and she is getting better. One technique I used was from Precision Reflexology, linking the adrenal to the foot reflex. I would also link the adrenal to the actual area of pain. As the adrenal produces natural anti-inflammatories I felt this would help the foot to heal. If you haven't done linking before you use either the thumb or middle finger tips of both hand to link tow or more points together (one foot at a time) until you can feel each's energy resonating. I find these really powerful techniques.

hello there!

Well, i used to have this problem - and -unless I have done huge amounts of walking in unsupported shoes - I no longer have the problem.

Firstly I saw both a physiotherapist and a podiatrist - and as a result I got inserts for my shoes from boots (they will be ones that support the arch.) and have spent a lot if time stretching the soleus muscle (as well as the gastroc but less so).

Anything stretching those muscles will help - if you need any help with specific exercises or passive stretch movement etc let me know!

Thanks for the advice. Sarah, do you mean the cross reflex for the foot on the hand, because I dont know about a foot reflex on the foot other than the foot itself!! I cant find any other foot reflexes in the ingham method, I thought you work on it directly.

I will link the adrenals and heel directly as you suggest.

Fortunately he is doing calf exercises and stretching.

Yes i did mean linking to the foot reflex on the foot, but I prefer the link to the actual area of pain and seem to feel more of a link there. I find the foot reflex just under the 5th toe. If you work up the side of the foot from the hip reflex at the base, yo come up to the thigh reflex, then the knee, then the calf/shin and finally the foot. It's small point and yes I agree that it is better to work the hands as a mirror image of the feet for most foot problems.
