OK, I've been biting my tongue for a while now, but lately there have been far too many redundant threads started.
How is it that someone can say in their thread "I saw in another thread that Miss MPA was great so I thought I'd give her a try" and yet they start a brand new thread about Miss MPA? The poster has already acknowledged that another thread about his subject exists, so why the **** not just add your post to that thread?
I know it's easy enough to do a search to find all the threads about any given MPA, but wouldn't it be great to see all the posts about one MPA in the same thread? That way we would be able to easily see if she has been consistently reviewed or if she has improved with time or vice versa.
That's the main part of my rant. Thanks for reading it.
But while I'm at it, I do have another lesser rant that is somewhat related and I'm guilty myself of this one.
Why can't we make the thread and post titles as helpful as possible?
Here's a good example of a great thread title: Miss MPA @ Spa ABC, 123 Main Street. (416) 555-1234.
Failing to put the address and/or phone number in the title could easily be covered off by putting a link to the spa's website in the post.
The whole reason we're here is to help each other find gems and avoid throwing our money away on sub par places and MPAs. The better the reviews are posted, the easier it is for all of us to filter the information.
