retail space or office space?

Hi guys,

Im new here and will be starting MT school in Jan.
YAY! I can't wait and am excited.

I know this issue is a ways off for me but I was wondering do most rent a retail storefront for your business or do you rent an office in a office building?

The property I lease is retail. I have four therapist working with me. If I were by myself I would have definitely leased office space as it is less expensive.

I rent one room in a professional office building. I pay $300 a month and I have another MT that sub leases from me on the days that I don't work. And that other MT covers most of my rent for the month

Ditto. Retail space is more expensive per square foot because it has more visibility and foot traffic, and is usually more convenient for customers (parking spaces, short walk, etc.). If Kelly and I were the only MTs, we'd have a smaller, much cheaper office space.
