I am a west end guy and Pickering Angels is just way too far for me. However, after seeing Sydney's new pictures at the PA site, the sweet memory of the numerous encounters with Brooke, her former life at SRM, rushed back and I could not resist the long trek across 401 to re-kinder the feeling of closeness with my long lost fantasy girl.
I made the appointment and took the afternoon off to avoid the rush hour traffic on 401. All the way there my anxiety of seeing her again made the trip seemed much longer. I kept listening to the 680News traffic reports every 10 minutes and in between switched to Nora Jones on the CD player.
"Tell me how you've been,
Tell what you've seen,
Tell me that you'd like to see me too.....
.......But it's not too late,
Not too late for love.I couldn't believe traffic was so bad even in mid-afternoon.
My lungs are out of air,
Yours are holding smoke,
And it's been like that for so long.....
.....And it's not too late,
It's not too late for love,
For love,
For love,
For love.
I actually finished listening to the entire CD front to back before I got there. Since this is the first time I'd been to PA, it took me a little while to find the place. I walked in with my heart pounding like a drum, took a deep breath and told the receptionist that I have an appointment with "Broo...no, Sydney".
She saw me and recognized me right away. We hugged and I noticed she looked different. She was prettier and in better shape than I could remember. The session was great. We caught up on the time we hadn't seen each other and soon it was like nothing had changed. She showed me what I had been missing and why I needed to see her again. We just seemed to know what the other wanted. I was breathless at the end of the session and promised I would come see her more often.
I better get used to this long drive.
