What is a fair price to pay for monthly room rental?  They supply a room and scheduling and some advertisment.  The rate will start as a perceneforum.xxxe of each massage or a flat rate from each massage until I build my clientele.  At what point is it better to switch to a weekly or monthly rate?  Is 100 dollars a week too steep?  Im in Georgia, we are charging $55 for a one hour massage.  Thanks for any input.

The question you ask is very dependent on your location. Example: NYC massage usually runs $75-$125 for one hour! I rent out rooms in my office in Midtown Manhattan hourly, weekly and monthly. I charge $20 per hour, $100 for one full day, and $250 per month, for one day of the week. This may sound rediculous to some people in other parts of the country, but it's actually quite fair here. There are some places that charge $30 per hour for rent, and that doesn't include linens or oils, Which I DO supply. Good Luck!

Actually, $100.00 a week isn't to bad from what all ive heard. And once you have build up that $100.00 will be nothing compared to what you'll be bring in.

When I was working at the spa, they took 50%. They ended up getting $2000 or more a month. They supplied everything but I did have to help cover the desk area. I just moved into my own office for $140 a month and I supply everything. Rates in this area are anywhere from $35 to $60 an hour. Don't know if that helps you with your decision at all. Working in a place that is established and does advertising may be worth the cost. Check your area for a single room that might be appropriate for massage and see what you'd pay for it and figure in the cost of supplying your own equipment/oils/etc.
