I remember one person had a counselor from Score....

anyone else? positive experience or no?? I am going to schedule a counseling session then maybe mentoring.

My business needs to change, it is seforum.xxxnant. I need to get to doing more of what I want to be doing and I need to do it in my own space. No more renting from another therapist, working in someone else's business.

I am SO excited about this..... during a massage today, I was seeing my own space and it was AWESOME! I was seeing my business name displayed and it made me giddy!

Just gotta get past the legalities and what not. And been scoping out small offices to rent. Geez, some are very expensive but I will attract that small space I need for little money.

How exciting! I was the person who saw a SCORE counselor. There were positives to the experience, the most important of which is to have a really clear vision of your goals, and to do something every day that promotes your services.

I recently joined two networking groups--one is Women@work, and the other is BNI. I've gotten two appointments from other BNI members who I am sure will attest to my work at the meetings, and I anticipate getting some good leads from there. And this week I am presenting the 5-minute member commercial at the W@W meeting. I just got a chair, so I'll be able to do a demo and really introduce my practice to a group of about 30 professional women.

I really think spending a little $$ on networking groups will really get your name out there, and you tell other what makes a good referral for you.

My partner and I had two INVALUABLE sessions with a SCORE counselor recently. He rapidly simplified some issues that seemed very complex, showed us a better way to generate a projected Cash Flow statement, gave some good ways to get what we wanted from our money people, and suggested some practical approaches to negotiating a business purchase that we like very much!

The only "negative" thing is that I wish we'd contacted SCORE six months earlier! It would have saved us a LOT of headaches!
