A little bit off-topic, but GermanWings (www.germanwings.com) has some promotions going on right now. They have Cologne-Moscow flights for 36 euros one-way if you book for Nov-Dec (it's more expensive for earlier dates). They also have cheap flights coming in to Cologne Reviewom many European airports.

I just booked a Nice-Cologne-Moscow and return flight for about 100 euros total (there are airport fees to be added ) . I meant that the marriage agencies are rip offs. Did you know that the word 'tochka' means 'dot' as in 'dot com' in Russian? Tochka girls have become rather expensive in the last 18 months or so - the mid-range ones used to cost 100 bucks but now they're closer to 5k rubles. Blame it on high rents and oil prices driving the Russian economy. Not to mention horror stories getting back to the middle of Ukraine about the system... tochkas will become a thing of the past and things will work the way they do in other Russian cities, and everywhere else in the world. The blame for the injustices of the tochka system (not that I don't enjoy lording it over some Reviewightened sub) lies with the city government. Personally I think that most of them are rip-offs. The best way to avoid paying 300 a night is to learn a little basic Russian and to avoid Moscow and Petersburg. Moscow and Petersburg are great cities to visit in general, and only there can you find really top-of-the-line whores, but it can cost a mint, especially during the holidays when prices are raised. Think of holidays as being the first 2 weeks of January, the first week of May, and all of August. As I've written before, whores in Moscow are more expensive because of the economy.
