Should I ask my female friend to introduce me to her single friends (please answer)?

I've always had horrid luck with women but it's getting ridiculous. In the last 3 years I've had 1 date. Every girl I meet either are in relationships or just aren't interested. Like in the last week I got 5 girls numbers and when I go to call them they don't answer and don't call back (or stop talking to me once I ask them out). And these aren't isolated incidents either, this is the result of every girl I approach. The last time I had a girl actually interested in me must have been 4 or 5 years ago. I don't know what the **** is wrong with me but it's pissing me off. And yes, I'm a good looking normal guy, am clean, don't dress like a pig, etc.

Anyway, I'm thinking of asking a female friend to introduce me to some of her single friends. Good idea or not?
And it also annoys me because my best friend has 4 or 5 girls he sleeps with regularly (including the girl he just dumped) and he acts like it's nothing. He makes fun of me because I can't get a girl, he even got me to join POF (Plenty of Fish, a online dating site) because that's where he meets these girls. But I haven't met anyone on that site, the girls don't even answer my messages.
