Skin Brushes

Does anyone use body brushes before their treatments?
I have one which i always remember to use once i have stepped into the shower and turned the water on Doh!!

I went to the Bath Spa and had a treatment where they used a body brush before the treatment which i thought was lovely. A little question to anyone who uses them in their treatments, Whats the best way of cleaning them after a client?
This may seem a bit daft, but i just wondered

We use them where I work. We clean them with an antifungal/antiseptic spray which will keep germs at bay and I brush them against a rough dry towel to clear any 'bits' off them. I've not been told to do this last bit but I'm sure you must end up with bitss of skin on them sometimes.
Also if you have a wooden one you are better off keeping it in the bedroom as the wood will go manky if kept in a humid/moist environment.

I did think that washing it under the tap with soap may ruin it
I dont keep mine in the bathroom, it's just that everytime i get in the shower i forget to skin brush before, so i hope that next time i will remember. Alas i never do.

I do keep mine in the bathroom otherwise it wouldnt get used, they are not that expensive to replace if the humidity gets to them
I then wash it in the shower and stick it on the radiator to dry

I was taught to start at the feet and work up towards my heart - do you all do this? I ask because a client of mine went to a spa and the therapist started at the top working towards the feet?
