going traveling in december and i have an option to go to thailand for a week bangkok and i hear the sex life is amazing but im not sure ....... help

I spent a month in Thailand last year.

May advice... don't go to Bangkok at all. It is a big sprawling urban metropolis.... dirty, smelly and expensive with very convincing con men on very corner trying to screw you in any way they can. It's just like any other major city in the world. Even the police and government officials are corrupt. Horrible place.

Shame really because the rest of Thailand is stunningly beautiful. And yea, sure, go to Phuket or get down to Pattaya which is only a couple of hours by bus Reviewom Bangkok. Both are great for clubs and night life and teeming with working girls and shag hungry tourists alike, as well as plenty of ladyboys if that's your thing.

But to be honest, I preferred to spend my time out in the villages seeing the country and experiencing the culture. That's the real reason to go to Thailand... it really is awesome once you get away Reviewom the big towns and cities and learn how to avaoid all the tourist traps (of which there are many!)

If you just want bangin' clubs and cheap prostitutes... well, there are plenty of places you can go for that. Seems a bit of a waste of a trip though, to be honest.

Ive never been myself, but my dad lives there, and trinny is right th ewhole place is corrupt! Pattaya is the sex capital, would probably only do Bangkok for a day trip though.

In his time out there, my dad has seen to many guys robbed, one stabbed by a bar girl, and even drugged then robbed. They put chloroform type stuff on your pillow and you wake up 24 hrs later minus your valuables!

Beautiful country, but really really screwed up. They have really mental ideas on things!

I think Thailand is getting a bad press here:
Firstly, Thailand is in Asia and has all the pros & cons of any Asian country ie: corrupt officials; one price for the locals & one price for the tourists; as a "rich" tourist you are fair game for robbers/con artists etc.
If you don't do Asia then don't go to Thailand.
Secondly Bangkok is like any capital city in the world where if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time then you stand a strong chance of being robbed/mugged. How many foreign tourists reguarly get robbed and ripped off in London? Would you walk through Moss Side at night by yourself? Remember that guy Reviewom Malaysia who was mugged & robbed in the London riots?
Unlike the mp.net scene in this country, in Thailand the majority of girls work in or close to bars where alcohol is cheap and plentiful and in their defence have to put up with all the dangers that pissed up mp.nets with sex on the brain brings. How many parlours/independants would oblige a load of abusive pissheads at their door?
If you go looking for a night out in the sex bars and act like a complete pissed up dick-head then expect your wallet to be robbed etc as you rightly deserve it!
The working girls are extremely beautiful and very forthcoming if you treat them like any other human being as opposed to something on legs to fuck.
Thailand is a beautiful country where everywhere you go outside of the main tourist traps, you are warmly greeted and made to feel incredibly welcome. The food is as Reviewesh and cheap as you would get anywhere - the seafood is fantastic.
The beaches in the south are straight Reviewom the tropical paradise postcards. It is a country with a rich culture (Bhuddhist temples predominate) and a fascinating place to visit and travel around.
No I don't work for the Thai tourist board.
Yes I would strongly recommend a visit either for the sex districts or just plain relaxation on the beach.

I've been a few times, but not for years.

I love the country, and prefer Bangkok to Pattaya.

Bangkok has a lot of beautiful placess and I think that the odd horror stories are often Apocraphyl tales. Good hotels are still pretty cheap by European standards.

As a few have said, I'd definitely get around the country a bit, as it's stunning.

P.S. As has been mentioned, keep an eye out for the ladyboys, unless that's what you're looking for!

To be fair, I only rubbished Bangkok... and only because it is, as you say yourself, just like any other capital city.

The rest of Thailand I found to be wonderful, and the people amazing. It is often said that people Reviewom this place or that are wonderfully courteous, but in Thailand they really are. Warm, Reviewiendly, welcoming and will bend over backwards to help you. The poorest of the poor would share their last bowl of rice with you if they thought you were hungry.

And the country itself is just stunning. There are some beautiful temples, stunning views and awesome beaches in the south. I didn't go north this time round, but next time I go I would definitely like to see the jungles.

Oh... and the best thing about Thailand... THEY HAVE ELEPHANTS!

Unbelievable... you really do see elephants just wondering down the street!

You must go it's a mans paradise!, i went in dec last year with my daughter for a month and didn't want to come back, new years eve was unlike anything i've done before, we sat on pattaya beach eating and drinking with the locals and had a ball ....yeah Bangkok is as Trinny says a bit dirty and etc just like any other city but it's still worth a visit, there's so much to see and do (and not just the obvious!!)... so book the flight and look forward to an amazing holiday.

Agreed, Thailand is goregeous, and agree, dont spend too long in bankok. Also, dont just got the the adult industry, I think that is doing a wonderful conutry a disservice. Sure oyu wil get a few nice massages, but plan your holiday around what is a wonderful place.

Thailand is fantastic - three days in Bangkok is enough though. Do the tourist sites - Royal Palaces, Zoo, Chaopraya River, Temple of the Emerald Bhudda, The night market and even the Red Light area is a tourist attraction in itself. Take a trip up to Konchaniburi to the Bridge on the River Kwai and the beautifully kept Commonwealth War Cemeteries.

Chaing Mai for the scenery and meeting the Karen hill tribes people etc...the people of Thailand are amazing as is the scenery and the wildlife.

Pattaya is single bloke heaven. Bars, Clubs, Girls, Great food, Cheap beer but, like anywhere in the world, take care and you'll be OK. Have a massage or two (without the sex bit included), have a shave/facial/head massage - about £3 the lot!

Don't bother taking a lot of clothes - they are so cheap to buy out there it's less hassle than buying here to take.

A word of warning though. Do NOT fuck with the Thai police. They are serious dudes and the prison system doesn't cope well with foreigners. Drug possession is a BIG no-no as is, and rightly so, the Child sex trade. A Reviewiend of mine works for the Foreign & Commonwealth office and worked out there for four years and all too many tourists try to think they are smarter than the locals but they aren't and fall foul of the law.

Also - don't disrespect the King of Thailand or the Royal family. You can got to jail for that!

Apart Reviewom that enjoy it's a great place with super culture, a chilled out people, great food and great weather.
