Thank you's

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a great weekend!

I just had a quick "what would you do" question. I have a client who is a personal trainer at a private gym who refers people to me all the time. The first time she sent someone over to me I sent her a Thank you card with a personal thank you on the inside. Sice then she has sent 2 or 3 people my way. I would like to thank her for continuing to support me but I am thinking a note everytime would get redundant. For some other people I send them 10 dollar off cards of free massages if they send over a bunch. However, she already has a gift certificate someone bought her and a 1 $10 off card.

What creative ideas do you have to thank her. I know it shouldn't matter but I am male and specialize in sports massage so foot baths and the like (which I think are great) just don't suit me

I have several places in town that send me referrals and also keep my brochures on display. At Christmas, I send them a cake, or poinsettia, or gift basket and thank them for the year of referrals. They enjoy the gift and I can take care of it at one time of the year. I am sure others will have ideas as well.

Agreed! Where I work our PR person goes out every few weeks and drops goodies off to many of the other offices and places that send us referals. Conversely we also have reps coming into our office fairly frequently bringing us anything from candy to lunch for the entire staff in the office. You don't have to send something over for each and every client they send your way, but perhaps something every month or so that you get referals from them. Perhaps even a gift card from their favorite restaurant, local movie theater or a favorite store in the area? The great thing about doing such things for the referals is that you can deduct it from your taxes as an expense. 8)

I send every client that sends me a referral a thank you note with a coupon attached for a complimentary add on. For example, and extra 15 minutes added onto their next massage or this month I am doing a pumpkin parafiin dip and foot massage, or an aromatherapy foot soak and massage. All these only take a few minutes and are not taxing on my body and supplies are inexpensive. This way I do not have to give a monitary discount, my clients feel appreciated and a lot of people will tip a little extra because they enjoyed their complimentary service so much. It works great for me. I have a high client retention rate. Also on another note. I send out birthday cards to all clients, regulars and clients who only come in couple times a year. It also has an attached coupon that says, "Treat yourself to a 60 or 90 minute birthday massage and receive a complimentary add on. (good thru the month of Oct)"
This month I am doing the pumpkin parafin dip and foot massage. This keeps the clients coming back and keeps my books full!! I am at a point where I am turning clients away because I can only do so many a week. I am working on hiring an IC to do some evening and weekend appointments for me.
