William Lee Rand says about reiki:
Because Reiki is guided by the God-consciousness, it can never do harm. It always knows what a person needs and will adjust itself to create the effect that is appropriate for them. One never need worry about whether to give Reiki or not. It is always helpful.
In addition, because the practitioner does not direct the healing and does not decide what to work on, or what to heal, the practitioner is not in danger of taking on the karma of the client. Because the practitioner is not doing the healing, it is also much easier for the ego to stay out of the way and allow the presence of God to clearly shine through.
Like all healing styles they work on the Emotional, Mental, Physical, Spiritual levels. (as does Theta Healing and Reiki). IMHO Therefore, whether you believe they are channelled from God, Angels, Guides, or Universal energy. Whether you believe in a god or not is not the issue, for healing never has been only given to religious believers.
There are many healers out there who do not believe in a God. But that does not mean that theyare notvery effectively channel healing energies. I personally know some.
What I am trying to say is that IMHO No particular type or style is any better or worse than any other. If I was to dip a toe in the water so to speak, I would humbly suggest that perhaps the only thing that may effect the level of healing would be the State of mind, commitment or level of training of the healer.
If you genuingly believe in God then you must agree that he/she would never not give healing to anyone.
I believe in god, always have done always will do, and yes I am also aChristian Minister in a spiritualist church.
I know that my God would never accept that you have to demand healing from Him.
