Note to forum moderators: I wasn't sure where to post this as I suppose this could be deemed a mind therapy, an energy therapy or a spiritual healing so I guessed "general", please feel free to move it if needed!
After I finished work today, I rushed off to a Theta DNA Healing seminar (and arrived slightly late!). Anyway, I have reads bits and pieces about this and was intrigued enough to attend. It was a free event but a 100 mile round trip. I say "free", obviously the lady was hoping to enrol people into her courses (not a criticism, and anyway it was fairly obvious from the initial invitation).
Now, the bits I read beforehand (and most therapists websites on the subject) seem to spend more time on testimonials than actually explaining anything much about the therapy (not really a good sign). The lady running the seminar did attach a fairly informative Word document that was more use than most of the info on the web.
Anyway, I went with a reasonably open mind (I always retain a healthy level of skepticism) but I really don't know what to think. There are many bits to it and a lot that was said that put me off as it was heading a bit too "New Agey" for my liking and one or two parts that were verging on the ridiculous. However, there was a lot there of interest too and I'd be interested to know other peoples experiences both as therapists and clients of Theta Healing.
I'm currently on the fence but leaning slightly more to the disbelief side. However, I was convinced Reiki was a load of cobblers (not helped by seeing video's on sale on Ebay with training AND ATTUNEMENTS allegedly on them or by the first three people who tried to prove to me Reiki worked but none of them had any effect at all) until I met an amazing Reiki healer who has fixed a couple of annoying recurring problems from old injuries for me to such a degree that they have never come back!
