Tina Allen receives the Massage Therapy Foundation/Performance Health Humanitarian Award

October 25, 2012 — Tina Allen, LMT, was presented the Massage Therapy Foundation/Performance Health 2012 Humanitarian Award at this year’s American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) convention held in Raleigh, N.C.
Performance Health, manufacturer and marketer of Biofreeze, Prossage, Thera-Band, and Pedigenix health and wellness products, partners with the Massage Therapy Foundation to present this award annually. Allen, a pioneer in the field of pediatric massage, was honored for her efforts in embracing the power of massage and the mission of the Massage Therapy Foundation to promote education and research while serving others.
With more than a decade of service to children and families, Allen, founder of Liddle Kidz Foundation (LKF), a leading children’s health and nurturing touch organization, has become an internationally respected educator, author, and expert in the field of infant and pediatric massage therapy. She is a pediatric massage master teacher and a licensed massage therapist, who has dedicated her life to sharing the nurturing effects of touch with compromised children around the world.
Allen managed the country’s first comprehensive pediatric massage program at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and developed pediatric massage programs at Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She is currently consulting with a number of leading medical institutions internationally to implement safe and effective pediatric


massage programs.

In addition to providing Allen with an award plaque, Performance Health donated $2,500 to the Massage Therapy Foundation in her name.
