Towels and mobile therapy

I haven't started practising yet, but intend to go mobile next year. My question is, when practising as a mobile therapist, does the therapist provide the towels?

Obviously if clients were coming to me (eg at home or in a salon) I would provide the towels. When my mobile hairdresser comes to me to do my hair I provide a towel and wouldn't expect the hairdresser to bring one, but I wondered if it's the same with therapy.

What does everyone else do?

I'm not a therapist, so I can't give you any authoritive answer, but I would think that you had better have a 'back-up' supply with you.

Image if you assumed that the client would have one and he/she didn't!!! What do you do then,, say sorry i'll come back when you have a towel. Again, if you put 'Clents are expected to supply their own towels' in your brochures, I can see you loosing some possible customers!!! Just a thought.

There was a thread on this a while ago which I've put at the bottom of this message, should help you.. The short answer is - provide everything you might need, it gives a much more professional image and shows you have fully prepared for the treatment. Plus, you know what you are providing is clean and fresh. Clients wont want to risk their best towels with oils and creams and will appreciate your effort.

As per my point in the other thread.. I'm surprised you have to provide a towel for your hairdresser.. just feels right having everything to hand..

just to add to this though - if they are regular clients they may offer - I have had some who asked what I needed to use and then bought a supply for themsleves which they kept separate - took about 3 months for this to happen

Im a Mobile therapists and i leave it up to the clients to provide the towels.

All i ask of them when they phone to make appoi9ntments is a quite room, a couple of towels and a few comfey pillows/cusions.....

I also do mobile work, and personally I wouldnt dream of asking the client to provide anything. I go to my appoiintments with everything I will need, including couch, towels, oil/wax, hand wipes, feet wipes and a little plastic bag to take away my rubbish.

I do mobile work too and I take everything with me, couch, towels, couch roll etc..., etc.... I think it looks professional to have everything with you and it all adds to the client feeling pampered for the time they've booked you and the time they've taken out for themselves.
