Treating stroke patient (still in hospital).

Hello all,

I'd be really grateful for any opinions on this.

I have had a request from to treat someone who is still in hospital: they're recovering from multiple infections following a blood transfusion (initially in hospital with leukemia), and have recently suffered a stroke. I'm not in possession of all the information at the mo but was wondering whether or not you all would feel comfortable taking something like this on? The brief conversation I had-with the patient's wife-did result in my asking her to speak to the consultant and get his viewpoint on it.

I'm trying to gather as much info as I can and would be grateful for any feedback, or has anyone worked in a similar situation?

I volunteer at a hospice, and one of the ladies has had a mini stroke, under hospice guidelines I am not allowed to perform Reflexology on this lady, she just has a foot massage now.

I have Kevin Kunz as a friend on Facebook so I am just looking to see if there is anything on there, and there is, this is what he has said

I would start right away!!! Even gentle stimulation is good. Eye/ear area is key. Work it a lot . Work all the way along the ridge to the spine. I also added the pituitary to what we did for Nadine. (A patient he was treating)

Obviously do this with the family's permission. If you can keep it up go for a long time at first. Stimulation is the key.

The brain is facing a chaotic situation so working the feet helps reorganize and let's the brain and nervous system reboot.
