Volks Dollfie Newbie - Head Help!?

Hi there! I'm new to the BJD world and I'm starting out with a 27 cm vinyl Dollfie.

Here's the lovely man I ordered:

I've already got all I need to customize him (hair, rooting needle, paints, the works).

Now, to my question:
I'm nervous about removing his head so I can root his hair. Anybody familiar with how Dollfie heads are fixed onto the body? I've only been able to find Dollfie Dream examples.

Is a 27 cm Dollfie's head removed in a similar fashion?

Any help would be great!
He came in today! His head came unattached so I know how his head goes on / comes off. It's very similar to Beyond Pink Barbie® and Friends.
