What are your thoughts on introducing a Gold Coast team to the AFL?

I've noticed heaps of people being negative about it.. But it's called AUSSIE rules, not VICTORIAN rules, so I don't know if it's just you Melbournians being grumpy, haha.

I'm not sure whether it is a good idea or not, though. I'm a Gold Coast girl and the only people I know who like AFL are from Victoria or SA, and aren't willing to switch teams. That said, I'll definately be a big fan! Even if I'm only there to see Karmichael!!
BQ - Will GC be playing at Carrara Stadium?

You said Aussie rules instead of AFL, I'm Impressed lol. I love the idea of expansion, if it was just a Vic comp our beloved
sport would be dead, it couldn't survive in this day and age. Karmichael won't kick goals if that's what you are hoping for, his kicking isn't exactly great :-D Welcome and I hope you enjoy our game. Carrara stadium is the only ground in the GC (Gabba being in Brisbane) so yes, that's their home ground, it's going under redevelopment atm.
