Particularly for those who own a business, what is your policy on clients wearing perfume/cologne to your clinic? For those who don't own a business, do you have a policy on this?
 
What is your policy on perfume?

I have been self-employed MT for 10 years. I wouldn't say I have a "policy" per se regarding perfume. I have never had a client come in with so much perfume on that it's been an issue. I have however had clients with strong (offensive) body odor (so bad it affected my ability to work with them) and I have had to discuss that with them.

I'm usually not too bothered by perfume/cologne and if I am, it's not enough to set up a policy. I schedule enough of a break between clients to let my room "air out" (which is needed just from it being stuffy) in case it might bother the following client.

Perfume hasn't been an issue for me either, however I have had 2 too many clients who came to see me who where heavy smokers, so my policy is you can't smoke 30 min. before your appt.
