What to do besides providing treatments?

I was wondering if anyone does anything else to earn money from massage in addition to providing treatments?

For example, I was considering hiring myself out as a consultant for doctors and chiropractors who want to make their massage rooms look/feel more welcoming (I've noticed that the massage rooms at many doctors offices look a bit neglected and not very comfortable).

Another idea was to provide workshops for clients and their partners to show them how to give each other little maintenance massages in between treatments.

Any other ideas?!

Wow, I've never known a doctor's office to *have* a massage room! That sounds like a great idea, since they exist where you are!

I've taught couples massage and that is a lot of fun. Community classes are an interesting idea that would be fun. There are lots of ideas here if you just browse through this list. Have fun reading! Let us know what you decide to do - and how the consulting goes. That would be fun!!

i've considered doing the consulting thing too. i think it's a great idea and if you market yourself right you will make them see that they must have your services. i considered doing this for other businesses. just wasn't sure how people would take to it. how about a consultant to other massage businesses? i can think of many places that would benefit from a consultant coming in and giving them advice on how to better serve their clients.

classes would be fun too. maybe even a less-stressed life class. simple things to make your life feel less chaotic.
