When to get a new MT??

I currently own a massage therapy centre and myself and one other therapist are here.  My new therapist is full every week for the last month.  I think it is time to get a new MT in, but I just got the other therapist in May (she is amazing).  Is it too soon for another MT??  Right now it is my slow season (summer) and I know September is going to be very busy, and would definately need someone else then.  When you take a MT position, how many massages do you expect to do in the beginning  (say first month)??  This is a long-term position not a quick flip, and is a % split not rent.  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The answers to this question for me would have to do a lot with what I was looking for at that time.I have worked for places that you are non-stop busy and I have worked other places that are not so busy (part ime and full time), but each worked for what I needed at the time.I would offer want you can.  You have a better idea of what you would be able to offer another therapist and what you expect your growth to be in the future.  If what you offer works out for them the therapist will accept the job, if not they will decline.  Also you said that one therapist is booked and you hired another one.  I would assume that if you are thinking of hiring another therapist that the second therapist is busy also.  If not you might want to hold off a bit depending on the type of position that you are wanting to offer a new therapist.IMO, It really has a lot to do with your volume now and what you are looking for currently and in the future.
