I really think my wife would really enjoy the series if she go into it. The problem is that she doesn't really read fantasy, mostly modern fiction (Sophie Kinsella, Nora Roberts, etc.). I have tried to start her cold turkey on The Colour of Magic and Guards, Guards but she can't (or isn't used to having to make the effort to when reading) grasp the foreign setting and/or the many characters involved. I'm going to give it one more shot and think I should either try Wyrd Sisters (not many characters), The Truth (I think the way Stephen Briggs reads Mr. Tulip is one of the best parts of the series) or Carpe Jugulum/Wee Free Men (b/c the Nac Mac Feegle are hilarious). Any suggestions?
