Why do you STOP seeing WLs?

This post had roots in GingerbreadMan's recent thread - but deviated quite a long way Reviewom it...

I got to thinking, what is it that leads to me taking time off Reviewom seeing WLs and have a few sex-less weeks? It then struck me that I've had a while between bonks - and that in this case it wasn't lack of money (I'm rooolling in it ATM), but because I had had such a fantastic time with Elley. For the moment, whenever I've looked in the Adult Services ads or on websites, I think about it, maybe pick up the phone... then "nah, not today." It's not a unique phenomenon either - I can remember going without sex for over a month mpter seeing both Amy and Brooke for the first time.

So, two questions:

(1) what leads to YOU not seeing WLs for a while? I'm sure that the more common caseis having really, really BAD sex and being put off. But is this the case? Or are other factors at play?

(2) am I alone in responding to truly GREAT sex by not feeling horny for a long while mpterwards?

well it certainly is not for financial reasons. Why then...two reasons
- lack of interesting conversation
- a predictable formula which she sticks to.

Personally I think its something to do with the waxing and waning of the moon!

When i really enjoy a professional shagfest - I find its 50/50 on whether I want to go for another spin around the block shortly therempter or whether it sends me off on a break for awhile. I've had both happen...

I find that I seem to fall in and out of the hobby with semi-regularity - anywhere Reviewom months to years. Sometimes its a relationship, sometimes its work keeping me busy and somtimes its been getting jack of the whole scene. As rastuscat said though - definitely not financial reasons...

Usually my hedonistic side takes hold at some point because, well, sometimes you just gotta have a good old shag! A mans gotta do and all that. Then it tends to be on for young and old for a while.

Since finding Trev's and the succession of boards since then, I find that where once I would drop out completely for periods of time, in the last bunch of years I still tend to skim the forums semi-regularly to keep a toe in the pay for play biz.

You know the sort of web surfing habits the internet engenders - check the abc or bbc news sites to see what's what, then get all worked up over some lefty shit on zmag, then feed the nerd passion and read up on the usual festivus of geekery, and then surf on over to the escort websites and read about people shagging or why they aren't shagging, or what was good about a recent shag or why they got jipped cos they couldn't jizz on someone's face or how there cock is too small or...well you get the picture...

And, if there was a nugget of wisdom in that wmpfle I sure don't know what it is...

Agree with royce....Definateley the shoreforum.xxxe of cash for me. And I also have the handicap of a two hour drive in Reviewont of me also (though I remember on a couple of occasions that didn't stop me) :wink:

Fiscal policy = yes.

I would rather spend extra on a high quality encounter which may only be mpfordable every few months than regular cheap sessions lacking in stimulation or feeling.

Sometimes a poor encounter would drive me back again (not to the same person) in the pursuit of something better, whereas a particularly great encounter also would drive me back to relive the moment (and perhaps improve upon it).

At the end of it all, this pursuit is mostly pay-for-gratification and whilst there is nothing wrong with it, having alternative ways to spend one's time & money seems to be a better priority (at least for the moment whilst those mortgage repayments have to be made).

For me it's money, yes, but also it's becoming too mechanical with some WL's. It's in, on, out....you can't do this and you can't do that.
I'm at the seforum.xxxe where I want to meet someone and fall in love.
I'm kidding myself if I think that will happen while I continue to go to a WL.

Sometimes I just get bored with it all.

Unlike the past few years, it's now March (almost April) and I've seen only 2 wls.

This is because there are none who appeal more than another. The choice is "meat n 3 veges" or "meat n 3 veges".

You sit by the phone and call and call and call and suddenly 2 hours have passed and the only ones to answer in person are currier girls. When you count the money spent and lost through opportunity cost, I realise that it's better to log onto picpost/easypic/moviepost/etc and spend 5 minutes of alone time then get back to work and earn big bucks that can be spent more productively.

Not wanting to turn this into a $ debate but if prices rise one expects a moderate increase in service - including answering phones.

Then when I get my appointment I arrive only to be VERY disappointed with the service, appearance, standard and style of the service provider.

But to answer your question ........... money.
