(Willmar MN-) The owner of a Willmar massage business who is accused of trying to force an employee to perform sex acts on customers was arraigned in Kandiyohi County District Court Tuesday. 55-year-old Ying He, owner of Message Therapy on South First Street, is charged with a felony count of soliciting or inducing someone to commit prostitution, and gross misdemeanor counts of Operating a Disorderly House and 5th Degree Assault. Unconditional bail was set at $150,000 and her next court appearance was scheduled for March 20th (245 p).
The criminal complaint says the victim came to Minnesota from California March 3rd to work for Ye's massage business. She told police Ye kept her locked in a small room at the business, and controlled when she could eat and bathe. Ye also is alleged to have told her employee to provide different degrees of sex acts on the customers if they requested. She told police that last Saturday she refused to do what a customer asked, and Ye punched her twice, causing her to be dizzy and have a headache. The incident was captured on the business surveillance cameras. The police were called after the victim began crying, and after she spoke with police, Ye was arrested. Police have seized cell phones, business records and took DNA samples from various areas within the business.
