Hi everyone

Thought I would tell you about an experience I had last night.

I was at my Indian Head Massage class and our tutor sprung some surprize clients on a few of us. Up to now we had only been working on clients we knew and other members of the class, so this was a real biggy for us. My client was a 16 year old girl whose speach consisited of, "yep, groan moan, huh and nope. (You can imagine how my consultation forms look. lol)

Anyhow afterwards a fellow student, a lovely lady in her 40's came over and said it was the best treatment she had ever given, she was so in tune with her client, but the one thing that bugged her was doing the chakra part, as she never knew what to feel from that.

So I told her, when I came to that part, I would place my hands just above her crown chakra and her third eye chakra. I would close my eyes and see what image would appear in my head, sometimes it would be raging seas, other times I would see a beautiful calm ocean, it all depended on my client's mood or frame of mind. If I saw the raging seas, I would stay in the one position, till I got the seas calmed somewhat.

She loved this idea and asked me to do the chakra part on her. Has I covered her third eye, I saw, a lovely green, well kept garden, it looked so peaceful there. I joked to her about her been different and changing my usual images. So I moved down to her throat chakra. This area felt very very sluggish, it was not spinning at all.......so I asked her, if she was a person who kept things to herself, rather than speak what she really thinks. And she was amazed I knew this correct info about her.

I kept my hands on her throat a little while longer and sent some Reiki into her throat chakra, and informed her to start speaking what she feels a little more often, she agreed that she would indeed, and immeditaly I felt her throat chakra burst into life and start spinning up.

I moved my hands away and has I did so, she burst into tears. I was pretty shocked and asked if she was okay, this has never happened to me before. The lady told me, that she didn't cry very easily at all, but whatever I had done to her, she felt wonderful, like a huge release had been set off inside her.

Still not sure what went on there.........but I then went on to give her a spiritual message that she could take very easily. Not only had I opened her, I had opened myself as I never give messages out in that way.

Anyhow just wanted to share this with you all. Thanks for reading.

Glad to hear you are going to learn indian head massage but please do not get to excited because you may not be taught any spiritual techniques in your teachings.

some places just do mechanical IHM and require a&p , so please check the sylabus of what is being taught

i do not want you to be dissapointed.

i hope your course gives you what you want

let us know how you get on .

also some schools do not teach the emotional considerations for IHM , because when IHM is done in a spiritual way the healing can be like nothing the client has ever experienced.

every client without exception so far has had IHM from me and said wow

and things like , i dont know where i went but it was lovely.

just make sure they do not fall off the chair, haha

i think so many therapists miss out if they just do a mechanical treatment without connecting with theclient , dont you?

I still feel terribly new to any kind of energy work or even therapies in comparison to some of you more seasoned folk hehe. But yes, each time you make a connection with someone it's an incredible feeling, specially if you play it by instinct and not necessarily by the book. I always used to get in trouble for not following routines, oops, I'm sure that's not what the client wants (a boring old regular routine), they want their treatment to be a unique experience, whether it's physical or emotional and the more guided by intuition, the better. Plus it's more enjoyable to do yourself.

Shock and horror.

You will both be stuck off and ex-therapisticated! no you are both correct a treatment is a very personal thing between the therapist and the recipient and whatever other entities that offer their help and advice etc ;-)

I chose my course carefully she does indeed do energies and meridans. I am already qualified in numerous things and have a'level human biology so no worries on that score but thanks for the concern.
Also although i dont currently call any other energies when i am working i am conscious that they are there and indeed do also work on my clients for/with me....
