Breeding bettas- How do i introduce the female?

Ok so My bettas has made a bubble nest he's made 2 and little ones all over the tank. But the filter has distroyed them. I've heard the male begins to form another nest when he's ready to mate. Where can i put the female in the tank so he doesn't hurt her do i put her in an upside down vase inside the tank? But how would i feed her everyday?

My tank setup is half of the tank has a plant with a floating log over it, amd my betta spends most of his time over there. The other half is empty where the filter is at he plays around there but not much. So i thought of putting her in that side in a vase or those fish farm cubicles that hang on the side of the tank. Which one should i do?
