Chiropractors gained Recognition in the UK in '94 & osteopaths in '93 and their respective registers came into force in 2001 & 2000, respectively.
But of course you may be based in an other country. [sm=scratchchin.gif]
Have had a glance at some of you other posts & I'm a bit confused - is your consultant an osteopath as well, as there are a rare few in the UK. I believe Steve Redgrave's wife is one.
Another possibility is that some private Health Companies refer to osteopaths (& probably chiro's too) as consultants. I don't think it's a protected title like osteopath or chiropractor, which means anyone could use it in theory. Physiotherapists, don't yet have protection of title, btu I believe that are due to get it later this year or next.
