CITY-TV is doing an expose on MPs tonight!

Did anyone else notice the pre-views for an expose that CITY-TV is doing on MPs tonight? I think it is on the 6 O'clock news.

Don't want to pre-judge... but something tells me it will not be a positive report if you know what I mean.

Why can't all these various news hounds from newspapers and TV stations etc just go away? Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

You'd think CITY-TV would be a little more progressive than to have the same mock puritanical tone, and have someone like Adam Vaughan who would be smart enough to see through the BS fed to them by the police and politicians.

Noticed how all the NEW fall shows have started, how all the old shows have NEW episodes?

It's ratings!

The News departments always run these types of stories during every ratings period.

They'll be doing expose`stories on:

Prostitution/massage parlours
Street Gangs
Child Care
Serious Health matters ( like some of it is not serious!)
Dog bites
Contractor rip offs
The list goes on....

All will be "featured "YOU CANNOT MISS, MUST SEE"..."

The rest of the year..well, we're free to be ripped off, shot and then bitten by a dog...but it's not ratings so they don't really care.!

I don't think City TV can be stupid enough to think none of their employees (male or female) have attended a MP. Think about the personal damage done by airing film of someone's husband-in-law leaving a MP and getting into specific car.
Can CITY TV say: Million Dollar Lawsuit?
Image the MPs suing CITY TV with slander. After all, their businesses are licensed. I suggest that everyone relax, cause CITY TY has already been briefed on what to air - without fear of legal action.

I will relax as long as none of my clients get closed down because of their seeking sensationalism.

It upsets me because they always are saying in various media reports that sexual services are being offered and given at MPs. That's why the public gets mad. All the while 99% of the time in most MPs the only thing close to so-called sexual services is a HJ. The problem I have with that is when you describe or use the words sexual services everyone in the general public is thinking FS. And don't think the reporters don't know that. Because if they did not know that then they would say masturbation or penis massage was offered was offered. That's too dull for them to say so instead they say sexual services. I would be willing to bet that if you took a vote or poll of the general public and asked them if they thought it was a really bad or terrible thing to go and get a massage with a HJ release for an ending they would vote no.

Yes and no.

I agree that a HJ is considered a sexual service. And I don't want to pull a Bill Clinton here... but it's just a HJ. And IMO... I think with the exception of wives whose SOs are going there the public outcry would lesson a lot if they knew all it was, was a HJ. Most would say... what they are getting a HJ? Who cares, big deal. Just my 2cents.

Just in general though about the adult industry as a whole... I am sure most if not all here would agree with me... what's the big deal?

I wish they would just go after bigger fish and leave this industry alone. I have a few ideas surrounding that... such as I think the general public needs a lot more education regarding the industry as a whole. If they knew about all the benefits that this industry offers to society, and that everyday nice regular people are involved for example... not just what they think now bad people etc are in it... again I think the outcry would be a lot less.

Again most of the time when the press gets a hold of these issues they only talk about the bad... or even if it's not so bad they present it in a way to make it look a lot more bad then it really is. Grrrrrrr.

What public outcry? Despite The Star's attempt to create one, the only ones who cared were a couple of strip club owners, some legit holistic practitioners, and a few cranky old prudes who made up stories about the MP on Queensway that got closed down. Health International is stll open, and while city council made some effort to appear to tighten licensing, there's no sign of any attempt being made to close a large number of MPs. They're going to stay open without any licences.

I don't think there's too many people who are going to get outraged over what consenting adults do behind closed doors. Instead of doing some silly "investigation" to find out what service is offered at rub & tugs, the media should be asking the police and municipal politicians to explain their obvious hypocrisy of tacitly permitting MPs, which are bawdy-houses under our criminal code.

I'd say the "consenting adults" is usually missing one of the partners.
Wives make up a large part of the population, try asking them if they think it's okay if their husbands get handjobs from other women.

Like most things in life what is good for the goose is not good for the gander. Sure a network can peddle softporn to make money but woe to MPs cutting into their margin. I can't speak to how many of the women at MPs are 'imported slaves' but the ones I have the pleasure to meet were most certainly Canadians.

Let's just say meals and airline tickets aren't the ONLY thing their sales reps. expense:

Being in the entertainment business out of town producers expect to be "entertained" in a certain way.

Perhaps CHUM should look at their OWN expense accounts first.

Funny thing is that 2 of the women complaining about having Plush Spa in thier neighborhood said nothing about the porn store in thier neighborhood and its a little ways east of Plush, guess they don't mind walking by there? I hope the paying of MPA's by City TV sales reps gets brought to light and they get exposed for the hypocrites that they truly are! And that sissy undercover cop who went and charged the spa at 657 Yonge, I hope he gets caught excepting extras and fired!
