BTW, the Big 3 FS micros have already upped their rates to the $320+ range for the hour for anyone sub30. The older ladies can still be found <$300.

I haven't really noticed the uppage for FS micros, but I also don't really pay too close attention to the whole age thing: I'm more interested in keeping tabs on overall pricing. Plus age isn't always shown on their ads/sites. I've looked at all the micro websites recently as well and most of the pricing is still sub $300 (range is usually $240-$280). Not saying that you're wrong since you've also done your homework, but my own research hasn't indicated the uppage yet. I've seen the rare >$300 from time to time though, but that could be for a whole variety of things besides age.

But since you mentioned it, I'm gonna keep a closer eye on it.

I split my time between Edmonton and Toronto, it is much easier to find good rates in Toronto because competition among girls is fierce. From my place in downtown Toronto, it is just a short walk to Chinatown where there is an abundance of low cost providers; literally like 10 shops within a two block radious where an hour of massage+FS is well below $200 still. Completely different story here in Edmonton, there are only a handful of reputable establishments sprinkled around the city. Each establishment (including the micros) only have one or two quality girls servicing a city full of horny men, those quality girls get booked solid. Supply and demand, no reason not to raise prices when they are always fully booked. I have gotten used to paying 50% more here in Edmonton as compared to Toronto already.

What happens when the girls are not busy .. they start texting to regulars … it’s a crazy run I agree .. if men start thinking with their heads and not dickheads .. you can control the prices in a town like Edmonton OR you wait till the supply. Ah I see what you mean now. I have noticed that some of the micros have become comfortable charging >$300 for some of the girls they bring in, which is kinda interesting considering their main competitive advantage is the lower rates with relatively good service.

In regards to the overall commentary of the rates going up from others, I do definitely agree and have seen this in my own research as well from some providers/establishments. I'm not against price increases since that's just not how the market works, but I'm against unreasonable price increases. What is considered unreasonable is hard to say, but I think a good indicator is if they are losing more money keeping higher rates with fewer clients vs the lower rates with more clients. Of course there are those exceptions where someone is in such high demand that people will still see them regardless, but I would not consider it the norm: this especially holds true if their clientele is less price sensitive considering either their higher disposable income or are reckless spenders.

For me personally, I don't see anyone charging more than $300/hr since that's roughly where the average hourly rate is at right now in the city for FS.

Some of you know that I have tasted caviar on many occasions and didn't blink at the cheque's. Everything was priced accordingly.
Then you get the bacon and egger that thinks she's a happy meal but wants you to pay for abig whopper.

I have a regular that to many would say it's great but the presentation isn't as good. To each their own. I give her more because of how much effort she puts in to make me feel like it was a good dinning experience. You don't have to eat there . Yes I am using a fast food chain to compare these places we frequent because they are very simular.

Hoeflation has hit the Asians harder than anywhere else and you’re a case example of why, that chick is not caviar. Not really massage but 2 years back I got a 5’0 quebecois Lebanese girl early 20s, tighter than a steel trap: $120

As I said she is a regular. She doesn't "charge" what I pay her . She has her flat rate and it is on par with where she works and what she provides.

What I pay her is between her and I but she does things for me she will not do for everyone else. I am not what causes prices to go up. You seem to be looking at anyone to blame for this other than the establishment owners. If its getting too costly for you stop going there. Or get a job at Timmies on the side to afford those higher end services. When I go to MacDonalds I pay the same price as you do. If their prices go up it's not because I will pay more. I don't have to go there if it's out if my price range. If they throw in extra things in my order I am leaving a tip . It doesn't mean they are bringing up the price.

There are many reasons why prices go up, but what it comes down to is simply supply and demand. Clients overall, typically want to pay the least amount as possible when they see a provider, while providers overall want to charge as much as possible when they choose to see a client. Generally that's how I see it and the constant push and pull between these two parties is what dictates the market. Yes it's a bit more complex than that when you look at the market more closely like the segments of the markets (Asian Micros, vs 'premium/high end') that both parties engage in. Directly, only clients and provider's engaging in their relative segments of the market have a stronger impact on the dynamics of how it operates: indirectly though, you could make the argument that different segments of the market can influence each other.

As a client, I do accept responsibility for my impact on the pricing of the segment of the market I participate in, but I don't think it would be entirely fair to get the finger pointed at me since I'm just one out of the many clients who also participate in that segment. I think Mebad23 brings up a good point to not try to antagonize fellow clients for their impacts on rates: people will inherently do what is within their best interest at the end of the day. At the end of the day, we all make our own choices. If I'm priced out of the asian micro, for example, I can make choices to either make more income, find other cheaper substitutes/alternatives, go less often, or leave the hobby entirely: it's much easier to make your own choices than try and the entire 'client' base to behave the way they want it to.

Have any of you just flat out said no? Too much . I will not pay that much. These women know exactly when to pop that one on you. Do they ever tell you before the massage begins? My guess no. Maybe just flat put start the process ahead of time. If you don't like the price and she won't budge put your clothes on or don't take them off until you hear the price. If they think you will walk ,maybe they will be more open for negotiation. I am a contractor and I have raised my day rates . My clients don't like it but they have not lowered their own prices and do not like my Incease. They have the option of not doing business with me.

Again I know this is a massage forum but I’ve seen time and time again where legitimate 8s and and above from out of town are charging less than what some legitimately beat up broads are charging. What validates their price hikes are those clients who let their little head do their thinking. Instead of complaining about it , tell them no not at that price, mean it , stand your ground or walk out. Personally I have not experienced what you say is a price hike. I have declined extras on occasion especially if I felt that it was not worth my money. I declined Iron fist twice it got so that if she tried to pull a b and s. I just flat out said no I will wait for the one I have an appointment with.

I have recently stopped doing business with someone you all think is a beauty queen. Her service was getting less and less and her prices were not reflecting the drop . Her excuses were getting to me. Her service started off great and then it became a ymmv after the fact.

Ditto. Over the years I’ve been lucky to see most of the all stars before they were all stars. The shine seems to go off them once the get fame and fortune. Have a couple now I am selfish with and I keep my hat on tight. There are deals out there for sure and with repeat visits and by being a gentleman there are substantial savings at times.

And perhaps he is! Or perhaps the fact that he actually is ALSO from Toronto makes the time zone thing less significant.
