Hi folks,

Wondering if anyone has done any bodywork at their local Occupation? I have only done so informally, but I'm enjoying the idea of healing events at Occupy SF involving a group of practitioners of different types of work, not just massage. Curious to hear what sounds interesting to others around the country and world.

I have done none of that.

But, I do like the sentiment:

It sounds interesting, but how do you handle bodywork amidst all the hubbub?
I am, of course, imagining this as it would be done at a sporting event.

I haven't done this either. Again, partly because I don't have the extra time to get out to do so, due to having a child at home & because there would likely be difficulty parking & getting equipment on site.

I walked through Occupy Portland while at AMTA National Convention this last weekend, and they had a wellness area set up with massage therapy, accupuncture, and other treatments available. It was right next to the medical/first aid tent. Perhaps you could contact them?

I don't believe people are supposed to be buying/selling anything onsite, as it would be seen to be taking advaneforum.xxxe of a social/political movement for personal gain. The lawyers, nurses, educators, chaplains, and cooks aren't charging either.

That's so Portland... love it. That's exactly what I'm imagining as an ideal.
