Its a violation the Charter of Rights and Freedoms to shut down an economy, prevent persons from working and also refuse to pay them support payments. It goes directly against every Canadians right to life, liberty and security of person.

Add to this that Doug Ford was suggesting that the shutdown might go on for months - and you have a Premiere that will end up killing people when this is all said and done. Innocent people that have comitted no crime and have no way of supporting themselves during the shutdown.

Think about that - the leader of a 'free country' refusing to let people open their businesses or go to work for their emloyer AND refusing to pay them monies, supposedly because they didn't QUALIFY for the programs he enacted during his shutdown.

You cant have such circumstances under Canadian law. You cant allow a leader to take away someone's livelihood and then also allow that leader to set up programs that disqualify a person from obtaining financial assistance so they can buy food, pay their rent and survive until the restrictions are lifted. If such a thing is allowed to stand, then future leaders can shut down our economy for 6 months, 12 months or 24 months; all the while they refuse to pay people support payments even when their lives become jeopardized because of any shutdown.

There is a general rule of simple economics that says everyone should have 3 to 6 months of savings put aside for unexpected emergencies. Nobody should be living paycheque to paycheque, no matter how small your paycheque is.

Yes, there will be things that fall thru the cracks, but as I said Canadian cops are not like North Korean cops...and after they arrest you ,they can o ly keep you in jail o an indictment ( serious crimes) summary charges, they have to let you go and appear in court in the morning.Here is the thing after the cops charge you at the station..all the evidence within a day or two has to go to the crown attorney..they are the ones who will determine whether there us enough evidence to go to trial...if a cop just lied and said that you this or that..but with no evidence the crown will drop the case. It's called " having no reasonable prospect of obtaining a conviction in this matter"..
