heard of Renovo Health & Wellness??

Has anyone heard of/ worked with Renovo Health &wellness ? They facilitate outcalls at hotels they have contracts with as well as non contracted offsite locations in the Massachusetts/Rhode Island/NH area. They found my listing on AMTA (I do private outcalls now), and I just got a call asking if I was interested in joining their list of practitioners. The basic info I got from them is:

-60/40 split (I'm the 60), base rate for session is $85
-I bring my table and handle my own transportation
-they have a system with the hotel contracts of check-ins w/ the front desk to safeguard practitioners against Craigslist-type problems
-most scheduling is done thru email
-the company handles all financial transactions other than gratuity

Anyway, I'm just curious if anyone has any knowledge or experience working with this company, or any tips on questions I might not think to ask them (I've never done outcalls at hotels, either).

I have never heard of these folks. $51 for a 1 hr. massage is not bad plus your tip. Are they going to give you milage for gas too. And are they going to take care of the sheets and oil? If you have a hot stone do you need to bring your own stuff. Same thing with bodytreatments, do you need to buy your own mud, salt etc.... Some of these mobile spa's require you to have your own supplies

From their website, it looks like they focus on B&Bs instead of hotels.

This raises some major questions for you as an operator

- What volume can you expect to get given the low room count?
- What are the peak times for their service demand (probably 80%+ on Saturdays and Sunday AMs)
- How do they ensure the rooms are suitable for doing a massage? B&B = cozy = bad back!
- How do you get your table up to a 2nd or 3rd floor guest room? Most B&Bs don't have elevators
- How often do you get paid and what is the processing time for payments?
- Who bears the cost of CC processing on services? On Tips?
- Since this is a "split" arrangement, does that mean you bear the burden of any discounts the company offers?
- What is the No Show/Cancellation policy? 60% of $0 is $0.
- What is your responsibility of you are sick or have an emergency or are too tired to do an appt you confirmed?
- What if a client did not like your massage? What is the company's quality control process and dispute resolution process?
- Who keeps the intake forms (MA's new law is rather onerous on this point)
- If services are done in a treatment room and not a guest room, do they have the MA Establishment LIcense? Who is the Establishment Manager? Who gives you the required orientation to the facility? Is that time compensated?
