Introducing a mystery snail to a betta?

No, mystery snails are not hermaphrodites; they will not overrun the tank.
Yes, bettas can live with mystery snails, depending on the betta.

My question is::
When introducing a mystery snail into a betta tank, how would one go about that? Assuming the betta is already settled. Would it be best to:
-Introduce the two with the snail in the bag/container?
-Take the betta out and let the snail adjust; then let the betta back in?
-Other option?

I'm not looking for suggestions about the incompatability of these two, and I do know the needs of both the betta and the snail. I only want answers that correspond to my question.

I will also add this question, in case anyone knows anything about it; If I were by chance to get a female snail, would it be safe if my betta got to the eggs (fertilized or not)? Of course I would remove them if I caught them first, but I know that the snails are more active at night and therefore she might lay them at night.

Haha, I know that mystery snails may still lay unfertilized eggs, and even go into the hood if there's not enough room above the water. That, or they might even escape from any opening at all, and lay them outside the tank.. I've heard it all. I'm hoping for a male!

Add it to the tank as you would do with a fish (float the bag, add some aquarium water every 10 minutes, after an hour net the snail out and put in the tank). Bettas generally don't see the snail as threat or food and even if the snail has a calcium shell to defend himself.

The betta will most likely ignore the eggs.

just put the snail in the tank the betta wont hurt the snail hence the shell it'll climb into it's shell and hide if it feels threatened and it may take the betta a bit but the snail will be fine just don't get one smaller then the bettas mouth otherwise say good bye to ur snail u get one about the size of a dime u should be good and it'll last for forever i got my blue shell mystery snail that size and he takes a beating from my parrot cichlids pleco cory cats and my bettas and is still alive and ticking so a snail will be fine with a betta no problem

To breed any snail, two has to be present in the aquarium. They are hermaphrodites and you can't just go buy a male. Do some more research so you believe me cause You'll learn either way. Also, the betta may eat the newly hatched snails...

intorduce the betta with the snail in the bag/container this will be best and will give the betta some time to get used to the snail

BTW Mystery(Apple) snails lay there eggs above water the only way u can hve them brees is if u lower the water height
