my boyfriend introduced me as his 'girlfriend' and i feel weird ?

I meet him, back in September at a friends wedding we got along but nothing happened, and it wasn't until a week later I couldnt get him off my mind and i made the first move and asked him out for a drink over a message. That weekend we went out with mutual friends ( the couple that got married ) and we hit it off. We spent that weekend together and ever since I have been around to his place pretty much daily. He asked me the first weekend if it meant we were now going out, i said i wasn't quite sure and i would let him now. His birthday came around etc a couple weeks later, and he introduced me to all his friends as just my name, but people mingled and started telling each other i was his missus. I was fine with that. Its now been 2 months and we have been together in that time.

But here's the weird thing, he has never introduced me as his girlfriend ( that i've noticed ) until the other night we were out at a club with his friends,i've meet many occasions and have grown to like. But he also introduced me to new friends of his i have never met as his girlfriend and i got the weirdest feeling. I don't know how to explain it either. It wasn't bad but then it wasn't good !

Has any body else ever got that feeling, or can any one explain to me what just hit me ?

Everything is still good/ normal with us, but every time he introduces me to others i just kinda go 'blank' when he says girlfriend !

You are probably just very cautious about the label 'girlfriend'.
Because of past experiences? Maybe you don't like to commit?
You were undecided about it and delaying your decision, then suddenly it was made for you.

A bit like when you go to the same place to buy lunch every day, then one day the owner recognises you and says "The club sandwich and ice tea right?" before you have even decided what you want. It's probably what you would have ordered anyway but it feels weird because the decision was taken away from you. It isn't bad or good just "yeah ok.. I guess".

Suddenly being called a girlfriend is a bit weird for you, but face it... it's what you were going to order anyway, and after 2 months he has to call you something.

Try to remember it doesn't change anything between you.
