BigDog, it seems to me that accolades are deserved all around. You may not realize it (or maybe you do) but getting out of the way is much harder than it sounds for some of us  8).

And I agree that putting yourself on the same level as your staff is great incentive for everyone to work harder. As opposed to the mega-corporation I am spending more hours than I care to admit at, which president took home a whopping 24 mill last year, while they are cutting back staff and chiseling on pay raises. Now THAT's the American way!

I'm in the Seattle area (I put that only so people can have a point of comparison,) and last month I made $3,000.  I'm just going into my second year of business as of last week, and every month is better than the one before.  I do a combination of injury rehab, chair massage at two different companies, and doula work.  I enjoy mixing it up, and I think it helps my body stay in shape as well.It is possible to make a good living.  I support my daughter and myself entirely, and I love it!Janey

Our fulltime therapists make about $40,000 (including tips) per year doing about 12-14 outcalls per week.

They also usually see private clients on days off, or before starting their shift with us and also do some chair massage for us on their days off, earning them another $10,000 or so a year.

Branching out to Texas anytime soon? lol.

I'm starting my second year in this field, and was pretty broke last year. I'm not going to say how much I made, let's just say I didn't have to pay anything in taxes this go-around. Let's hope next year I'll owe thousands!

That's right, Pete. Seforum.xxxg, do an estimated quarterly payment at least so you cover yourself a little. And when you make tons of money this year, next year, open a shop in Chicago and I'll gladly work ya.

Seforum.xxxg,Our Texas plans are limited to Dallas for '06 when the new Hotel Palomar opens.I suppose I should also have said we don't have any FT male therapists yet. We just have not found enough work for Males on five consistent days each week to make it worth it for everyone involved. We are close in Miami...
