RMT in Ontario can Reopen starting today

Their fear got worse yesterday after seeing the huge crowd rallying in down town. Lots of spa girls posting the pictures and videos of the big march in weChat saying perfect breeding ground for spreading virus. I spoke to a few of them last night and most of them told me they won't be going back to work for a few days or weeks. They all are monitoring the situation closely and some even told me about the situation in Korea where all the schools have closed down again.

Yeah, when I saw the protests, I was also thinking this will probably result in a bunch of new cases...sucks.

Really? I tuned into the newscast kinda late. I saw a bunch of people demonstrating so I assumed it was about Minneapolis. A bunch of different American cities had demonstrations about it last night.

there were 3 911 calls regarding the same location. I guess the dispatch centre didn't communicate well.

the thing is the people retracted their statements which makes that march seem very useless. What they claimed to have seen was made up and the media fed off it.

haha, yea remember june 6 or should I say late this week will be the time we see if cases spike because of the trinity bellwoods park episode

Some spa websites say they may be re-opened on June 2nd. Is this true?

Just Relax spa is taking appts starting June 8th. I called and that's what they told me.. My RMT can open but they are still closed as they are waiting awhile longer. Big bummer for me and I'm slightly pissed they don't share the same thoughts as I do on this virus. But I need to respect their decision to stay closed. My Filipina house cleaner is now ok with coming back to work so I said sure. come back next week.
8 people between the age of 20-39 died this past weekend and our covid numbers are still up there for Christs sake!!! The rise in numbers last week was attributed to Mothers day gatherings the week before that. I wonder how far the numbers have to go down before spa owners feel good about opening??

Then the park gathering probably raised the numbers as well. We may be going back to square one. I hope not.

I have a feeling that many of the spas pretending to be RMT clinics will get fined for opening.

Lets hope not but there are still thousands of tests still to be processed. Myself, I'm not so worried about the virus. To me it's just like the flu. If I catch it, them I'm unlucky to catch it. I looked at some numbers the other day which stated Canada gets about 3,500 deaths per year from the flu. I think we are double that now for covid
+ In Canada, an average of 12,200 hospitalizations and 3,500 deaths related to the flu occur each year*
- this year covid - deaths are at 7,295- So for me, its a little more serious but not that much. I still participate in slowing the spread by wearing a mask when Im in a store, but not outside. With Canada day coming, seems like we have a 50/50 chance of events?? not sure about that...

I'm pretty sure Canada Day celebrations will be online only. Many municipalities have already cancelled fireworks celebrations.

That's a bummer!!! - even though I'm American, still love a good fireworks show at the Beaches on Canada Day. I really just want to get out and blow a bunch of money on something or have lunch on a patio downtown and drink a few cold ones... GO AWAY COVID!!!!

My Chiropodist is now booking for this week- RMT is next - then spas - still there are hot spots like northeast and northwest along Steeles ave. Careful of that!!

Why don't you call XR Wellnes. They have 2-3 RMT ladies working there. Hailey is young and cute and she is a chatter box like you. She may be small, she is too strong and painful at times.
