Adverts!

The never ending adverts for sofa's the companies say they are having a 'sale' so don't miss it, the sale is every single day of the week for ever, and the music that accompanies these ads is so annoying children of the revolution=sofa? Nah.

Car adverts that say you should by their car because 'it's great around town' what car isn't? It would not inspire me to spend X amount of thousands of pounds, my Freddy Morris Minor in my Dad's garage in the UK is 40 this April and he is 'great around town' .......well we used to urrmm go round town, then come home.

That reminds me of the huge gamut of home make-over programmes, which I've found are also copied in their own language, or sold on as a franchise, to every European country too! I forget what comedy series it was, but a few weeks ago they did a great take-off of these terrible programmes which are just a cheap way to take up TV time. One take-off was called: "I Bought A House And I Did Something With It" - I thought it funny anyway, as that's all they boil down to. The other take-off was: "I Rented A Flat And Moved In."

Well I may as well have my own personal gripe, as I already mentioned it on Sunanda's thread about joining a gym:

Into Room 101 go all the imbeciles who think there's anything good about running a gym with pounding, incredibly loud and utter trite pop music. Who seconds this for 101?

Those are a few, yes! LOL, "I Bought A House And Did Something With It". So apt! I don't read or write Danish, but over Christmas they had all the same stuff, looking all the same but with Danish presenters. So sadly we create all these TV trends - reality shows too, etc., etc. - and they become the bane of many other nations.

So, I need my vote seconded for # 101...

And for the pounding music in almost all gyms. Who'll second that one too?

the ones in tesco I hate...i was buying birthday cards the other day (or maybe xmas); scanned first one and put it on the conveyer belt but it wasn't heavy enough to register and then it wouldn't let me scan my next item, jsut kept saying "please place your item on the belt" so i had to call someone the typed some code in and when i scanned the next one it happened again!! i had to call someone 3 times!! you'd think she would've just stood with me till i'd finished scanning my cards!!

Angelcakes, it's not just Match of the Day, it's "Your on Sky Sports" that does my head in. Excuse from his truly " you would go off your head if we didn't have sky sports and I would be down the pub watchin it"!! I like soccer and enjoy watching it, but this ringing in with comments does my head in. Sorry V and all on the Footie culture thread!

I would like to banish overgrown gardens. There is no excuse. Get out there and tidy it or get someone else to tidy it or don't have one if you cant!

Also dangerous dogs. They are labelled 'dangerous' for a reason, not so you can buy one as a pet and then be shocked one day when it decides to eat the children.
