This is my 2 cents: I have tried contacting Original Sunny so many times. As soon as I see one of her ads I contact her. I have texted her with different numbers, different days, different hours. Not a single response. If she wants new customers, she has to answer her texts. If she has her clientele and does not need any more business, why so mad?

I'm on both sides sadly. They probably did use the name to drive up business.

But I too am frustrated about having my texts ignored by the "The Real Sunny" If she is too busy...she should just text back saying so. And her ads could strictly be clarifying she is not happy with her name being taken...understandably so...as it does make it confusing for her new regulars...and I'm guessing some old and past ones.

My apologies. You're right, you did say that. She is a sweet girl and I would not want to get her in trouble at work. I did not read the thread from the beginning but repeating may not be such a bad thing in case others forgot the beginning of the thread as well. Was a while ago lol, especially if you have a memory like mine.

As far as the name, I am not sitting on the fence because it is wrong and unethical to use someone else's good name. WE should be pissed off too because it was intended to mislead us, the customer. Yesterday I texted her and she responded that she does not work weekends (a fact I forgot). I texted back asking what time she works til on weeknights and she said til 5. Well that does me no good as I work M-F days. Another similar business close by does no harm BUT they should build their own reputation and not try to run their business off of someone else's good name.

Regardless of the fact you haven't made contact it does not give anyone the right to use and benefit from her name and reputation. The fact of the matter is the "fake" Sunny operator picked a spot within eyesight of Sunny, and then used the name hoping to play on confusion or on those that haven't been in to see Sunny and would like to.

Like Old Fart, I work Mon to Friday up in the NW so trying to see Sunny is a not possible. I try to see her on any short holidays when I am just having a Staycation. So I don't get many opportunities.
I am hoping to do that soon in February. I have always enjoyed her, but if the other Sunny Massage keeps getting decent reviews, I may have to check them out.

I too don't agree of anyone seemingly stealing the Thunder of other successful ladies by copying their name, so that alone may make me decide as to whether I go there or not.

In a similar case, there is now a new ZOE (independent escort) who it seemed copied the name from our Famous Zoe, that honored many of us at various studios she worked at. I remember having a long conversation about that with the imposter. After a while I gave in and now see her off and on. She delivers a very good session, not like the original ZOE, but very nice just the same.

After meeting her I don't think she used the name on purpose based on her newness to the area.

I would disagree. The fact remains is everyone on this board is looking for a great experience with a provider that looks after her clientele. The original Sunny is just that, she has a great reputation because all of us clients have had a great experience and we spread the word.
So now we have a Johnny Come Lately that believes they can hijack her reputation and use it to benefit themselves. As I stated in an earlier post, any of us who knew her lament the departure of Miss V and would love to have her still here. She moved on to greener pastures. If we don't support and look after the great ones we will lose them and lets face it they are hard to come by. So regardless of the direction others take, I am boycotting the "fake" Sunny. Just my opinion.

This is where we differ. I am not committed to any one PROVIDER, but do agree about the hijacking of someone's business name and brand, it's unprofessional, although not about to boycott cuz for me it's about the girls not the owners. I like the adventure of the hunt for new experiences. I've probably been to most massage providers in town and have some favourites that I keep as my Plan B's or if I want the guarantee of a great HE. I'll even repeat the 'not so goods' if it's been awhile to see if there is any improvement, one of the reasons for joining Massage Planet was to get some reviews on these providers who've been here awhile to see if they've improved. But it seems the comments in this thread are starting to repeat. Just sayin.

I hear you and feel your pain but that is no excuse to steal another's name. If one place does not answer, there are many places to go and there might be ore opening up to fell the need but that does NOT give them the excuse to use another name. If you went to McDonalds and they never served you for whatever reason, you might want to open a burger joint next door and advertise better service, never too busy to serve another, never run out of product etc etc but you could not call it McDonalds. Sunny may not have her name registered meaning that it may not be illegal for fake Sunny to use the name Sunny, but, it is STILL unethical. To me, it shows they have nothing of their own to offer and are trying to scam ME into thinking I am seeing someone else.

If this is truly the case it is a sad turn of events, pretty low to stoop. Using another's persons name in the hopes of stealing some customers.
