The Georgia run-off is still ongoing since it is a Senate seat and not a House seat. Herschel Walker wants to be a werewolf instead of a vampire is the latest news.

The next Speaker is undecided as it is up to a vote. McCarthy wants it but he might not have enough votes. The Republican margin is so thin that he might not have enough votes. While I think it is very unlikely, it is still mathematically possible that a Democrat could still be speaker if they get 100% Democrat votes and swing a few moderate or centrist Republicans. More likely though is the Dems try to find a Centrist Republican ally and rally around them thereby cutting out McCarthy. The problem is there are few Moderate Republicans left. What is left is a battle between “true conservatives and Trump apologists” as described here

The House will want to investigate Biden. First they said it was Hunter and now they say it’s Joe. The funny thing is that just before the 2020 election, the Senate investigated Hunter and Joe ultimately producing a 87 page report and found no smoking gun so not sure what another investigation will do other than to deflect and waste tax payer money. We’ll see.
