Ive been working as an aide for six years in a PT office. I do massage on most of the patients there as well as doing massage as my own bussiness two afternoons a week. I use one of there rooms there for massage (my own bussiness) . I am not offered any benefits because I am an aide ( even though I am full time almost 40 hours a week). I want a change and I am thinking of leaving to find a job with benefits elsewhere. My only dilemma is what should I do with the remaining gift certificates that the clients havent used? Would I refund the money or how do you handle this stuff? I have owned my bussiness for two years and use their space at the pt office rent free. Recently there have been some changes that I dont care for with my position there as a PT aide ( cooperation took over, no benefits, and some unethical issues). I have held onto this job thinking that the grass isnt greener elsewhere maybe, but now I want to leave and maybe stop my bussiness. Do you have any advice on how to handle the gift certificate situation?
